Principal Profile – Richie Taffet

Richie Taffet is the Principal and lead investigator for FAIS. A licensed private investigator in every jurisdiction in the U.S., Richie has over 25 years of investigatory experience dealing with high profile cases. His financial management, operational discipline and business leadership skills, contribute significantly to FAIS’s drive in becoming a prominent force in the investigative industry. In addition, Richie is an officer of First Advantage Corporation (FADV.com), a Symphony Technology Group company, and serves as their primary in-house investigator.

Richie Taffet successfully co-founded Omega Insurance Services, Inc., a nationwide provider of professional investigative services to corporations, insurers and government entities. The company was recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S., ranking #92 on the 2002 Inc. 500 list. Omega was a three-time Chamber of Commerce finalist for “Outstanding Business of the Year Award” and generated organic revenues in excess of $20 million in 2003 before consummating an acquisition with First Advantage Corporation.

Richie went on to become an original member of the executive management team at First Advantage Corporation, serving as President of the investigative services division. He led the division with a comprehensive array of business process management, technology applications integration ideas and developed strategic sales and marketing initiatives, while being dedicated to clear and driving acquisition visions at First Advantage.

Richie has been a featured guest on CNN, ABC and FOX, providing expert insight on the exposure and detection of fraud and is a nationally recognized speaker.  Richie earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Alabama, where he attended with an athletic scholarship for track. Raised in New York City, the son of a retired DEA federal agent, he lives with his wife and three children in St. Petersburg, Florida.
